Mission Statement

The Mission of Asbury United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

YOU'RE INVITED

Attend either of our two Sunday worship services. A traditional worship is held at 8:30 a.m., and a praise worship service is held at 11 a.m.

Sunday school for youth and adults is at 9:45 a.m. (except during summer months). See our online calendar for all upcoming events and activities.

Ample parking is available in front and adjacent to the church at 18th Street and Mississippi Boulevard, Bettendorf.

We've added an additional day to schedule your portrait for the new Asbury Pictorial Directory. The additional day is January 17 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 11, two $50 gift certificates will be given away in a drawing among Asbury members who has signed up for a photography session.

To receive $5 off your portrait session, bring along canned goods for “Feed the Need.”

Pictorial session hosts are needed. Sign up for a 2-hour session by calling Laurie at 563-340-2784.

RECENT SERMONS

Our UMC History

The people of Asbury United Methodist Church are part of the second largest Protestant denomination in the United States. Our worldwide connection includes approximately 12.8 million members. The United Methodist Church was formed when the Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968, but we trace our heritage back to the movement begun in 1729 in England by John and Charles Wesley.
