Attend either of our two Sunday worship services. A traditional worship is held at 8:30 a.m., and a praise worship service is held at 11 a.m.

Sunday school for youth and adults is at 9:45 a.m. (except during summer months). See our online calendar for all upcoming events and activities.

Ample parking is available in front and adjacent to the church at 18th Street and Mississippi Boulevard, Bettendorf.

Upcoming Activities

2017-2018 will be Asbury's last year for our preschool.

 Our preschool has been blessed with so many awesome families!  The children have brought so much happiness, fun and laughter to preschool and the church staff and will truly be missed by all!

Did you miss our last photography sessions for the church photo directory?

Or, do you want an updated professional family portrait for Christmas greeting cards?

Lifetouch is coming back Asbury on Friday, November 24 from 2:00pm to 7:00pm.  Online appointments can be scheduled by CLICKING ON THIS LINK.

You also can schedule an appointment by calling the church office, 355-5218.  Sign up now and you will be entered into $100 LifeTouch gift certificate drawing.

The photo sessions will only be held if 18 to 20 families schedule appointments.

Family and friends and generational portraits also are welcome to schedule an appointment. Each family that participates gets a free 8x10 portrait.

If members would like to have your photo taken before you leave town for the winter, contact Lifetouch Center between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the company's toll-free number: 1-866-756-0281. Inform them you’re from Asbury UMC and they will locate another church (several are having photo sessions in late August and early September) where you can have your photo taken. ( If you have your photo taken elsewhere, make sure to report to Asbury your photo sitting number.

Grief Share

The Asbury Grief Share Team is offering a grief share class on  

Wednesdays from 5:30pm-7:00pm 

Feel free to join the group when your schedule permits.  You are welcome to attend any or all of the classes.  

Please call the church, 563-355-5218, to sign up.  If you have any questions about the program, feel free to call and visit with us.

Women at the Well

Women at the Well is a United Methodist congregation which is located within the walls of the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women, in Mitchellville, Iowa. Worship is on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Sacred Place Chapel.

The diverse community is composed of women incarcerated at ICIW, men and women from around the State of Iowa who choose to worship together, and many volunteers who regularly support the ministries and programs. They gather together to share the teachings of Jesus Christ, and to experience the life transforming Spirit of God.

Our UMC History

The people of Asbury United Methodist Church are part of the second largest Protestant denomination in the United States. Our worldwide connection includes approximately 12.8 million members. The United Methodist Church was formed when the Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968, but we trace our heritage back to the movement begun in 1729 in England by John and Charles Wesley.
