Mission Statement

The Mission of Asbury United Methodist Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.


Our vision is to passionately serve in the world because God so loved the world.   


Attend either of our two Sunday worship services. A traditional worship is held at 8:30 a.m., and a praise worship service is held at 11 a.m.

Sunday school for youth and adults is at 9:45 a.m. (except during summer months). See our online calendar for all upcoming events and activities.

Ample parking is available in front and adjacent to the church at 18th Street and Mississippi Boulevard, Bettendorf.

Souperbowl Soup & Snack Sale!
4th/5th Grade Kids Club will host their annual Souperbowl Soup/Snack Sale before and after services on Super Bowl Sunday,

February 4. All proceeds will go to support Hope at the Brick House, a children's after-school program in Davenport. Soup

Grief Share

The Asbury Grief Share Team is offering Wednesday Grief Share classes beginning March 21st from 10:30am - Noon and 5:30pm - 7:00pm.

Feel free to join either group when your schedule permits.  You are welcome to attend any or all of the classes.

Women at the Well

Women at the Well is a United Methodist congregation which is located within the walls of the Iowa Correctional Institution for Women, in Mitchellville, Iowa. Worship is on Thursday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Sacred Place Chapel.

The diverse community is composed of women incarcerated at ICIW, men and women from around the State of Iowa who choose to worship together, and many volunteers who regularly support the ministries and programs. They gather together to share the teachings of Jesus Christ, and to experience the life transforming Spirit of God.

Our UMC History

The people of Asbury United Methodist Church are part of the second largest Protestant denomination in the United States. Our worldwide connection includes approximately 12.8 million members. The United Methodist Church was formed when the Methodist Church and the Evangelical United Brethren Church merged in 1968, but we trace our heritage back to the movement begun in 1729 in England by John and Charles Wesley.
